Dr. Tarla Divine
Biography
Dr. Divine N. Tarla is a Fulbright Alumnus from Kansas State University, in Manhattan, Kansas and a pioneer board member of the Fulbright Association of North Dakota. Fulbright a flagship international academic exchange program sponsored by the United States Government. And so, unfolded like a tapestry of dreams and aspirations, his journey was not just a personal odyssey but a reflection of the collective resilience and strength embedded in the heart of Tabenken village. As the sun set behind the hills, casting a warm glow over the village, he continued to inspire, reminding the Cameroonians that the echoes of one person's dreams could resonate far beyond the valley, reaching the hearts of those who dared to dream and believe in the power of community, love, and the enduring spirit of home. He has worked in the University of Dschang for 15 years and consulted with international organizations like the Food and Agricultural Organization and the United Nations Development Program in Cameroon He has (co-)authored many books and over 30 articles including: 1-Poverty and Food Insecurity in Africa: The Voice of the Voiceless (English and French) 2-The Role of the Fulbright Coordinator, Faculty Associate, and Community Mentor in the Success of the Fulbright Program (English and French) 3-Phytoremediation and Bioremediation of Pesticide-Contaminated Soil. He is also an alumnus of Galilee International Management Institue in Nahalal, Israel, Acton University in Grand Rapids, Michigan and Colson Fellows Program in Colorado Springs, Colorado
