Membership

Membership is gained through the payment of a non-refundable registration fee of 5,000 FCFA for individuals and 20,000 FCFA for groups, annually,

Members shall make an annual contribution of 50.000FCFA for the realization of micro projects,

Membership is open to all who are interested in promoting a sustainable environment,

Each registered member is entitled to own a membership card. The content/layout and price will be determined by the General Assembly of the organization.

All withdrawal of membership shall be by application,

All indebtedness of the organization shall be met before a member is accepted to withdraw his/her membership with the organization.

Any member who shall not abide by the provisions of these articles of association and the internal rules and regulations of the organization shall be expelled.

RIGHTS AND DUTIES OF MEMBERS

Any member duly registered in the updated register of members shall have the following rights:
  • Members shall be entitled to vote, stand for election and hold office in the Executive Bureau of the organization.
  • Every member shall have one vote. In case of a tie (i.e. equal vote), the Executive Bureau shall decide (i.e. tie break).
  • Members shall not influence the award of projects, such decisions are made as spelled on the organization's equal opportunity policy and implemented by the Board of Trustees.
  • Adopt and amend articles of association and internal rules and regulations of the organization.
  • Understand and accept the articles of association and internal rules and regulations of the organization.
Each member pledges to:
  • Honor his/her commitment to the organization.
  • Participate in the management and administration of the organization.
  • Respect the articles of association, internal rules and regulations, and other binding documents of the organization.
  • Abide by all decisions duly taken by the organization.
  • Be engaged by the organization to affect any work within their competence.

LOSS OF MEMBERSHIP

Membership is lost if:
  • A member/group ceases to meet the requirements for membership as laid in the constitution.
  • A member/group accumulates arrears of financial commitment six months after due date.
  • A member/group decides on its own accord to withdraw from the organization.
  • A member/group is expelled from the organization, as the general assembly deems necessary.
